Time To Reflect - the arch at Spitzkoppe Time To Reflect
Hennie Niemand brings a series to make us think...
"While sorting through my photographs of 2006, I found four pictures which I feel can bring a message for the future. The world is getting smaller every year, environmental issues are getting bigger and we are at the crossroads to decide our future, how are we going to preserve our planet for our children?"
Dubai Belly Dancer Dubai Belly Dancer
Another nice series of pictures from Hennie Niemand. This time from Dubai.
"I am currently working in the Middle East and had the chance to go on a desert safari in Dubai. Not only were the driving pretty awesome to experience, the evening ended with a huge barbeque and a belly dancer show."

Juaden Desert and Venice Judaen Desert and Venice
Dan Rosen sent me these amazing pictures from the Judaen Desert and Venice during the Carnival.
Namibia Pictures Namibia Pictures
Hennie Niemand from South Africa sent these stunning pictures from a trip to Namibia.
"These photographs were taken during a 4 week trip to the Namib desert in August 2006. Namibia is a very dry country with a population of only 1.8 million people. The Namib desert is one of the oldest deserts in the world, and the orange colour of the sand allows for good photography."
Real De Catorce Real De Catorce
More interesting pictures from Antonio. This time from an abandoned miner city.
"I'm sending you other pictures from "Real de Catorce", an abandoned miner town in the central highlands of Mexico. All the constructions were made between 1814 and 1840."
Mexico Photos Mexico Photos
Antonio from Mexico likes to travel around his country in his Jeep Cherokee.
"These pictures were taken near Monterrey city and Saltillo city, both in the central-northern region of Mexico. As you can see, it's a semi-desert zone with temp. about 38° C, but when I did this trip, it was 24° C. It takes about 11 hrs. by driving from Guadalajara, where I live."
Ireland's north coast Ireland's north coast
Aidan from Ireland has always said that living in a small country makes the out doors all that bit more accessible. "From where I Live in Dublin, it takes me around ten to 20 minutes to get to one of many coastal areas. Any thing from a beach to cliffs."
Cape Leveque Photos Cape Leveque Photos
B from the Australian outback chooses a very scenic part of the world to live in. It's a paradise for fishermen, beachlovers, adventurers and photographers, all at the same time.
Alderney Photos Alderney Photos
Gary from the UK sees photo opportunity everywhere. A lighthouse in Alderney, a horse at play and an old boat catches his lens.
Santa Barbara, CA Santa Barbara, CA
Nathan Hallmark took a trip to Santa Barbara, CA. "These pictures were taken at different points along HWY 1 which means I got to look at the ocean view the whole time I was stuck in traffic. Then I realized that the whole reason traffic was backed up was because everyone was looking at the view. So, these pictures are an attempt to capture that view."
A Gaggle of Critters A Gaggle of Critters
We live on a small ranch in the panhandle of northern Idaho. This is a picture of our 4 horses in a pasture in front of the house. The photo was taken from our front door porch.
Zebra - Wild Horse Zebra - Wild Horse
The zebra, Africa's own wild horse, likes to be in grasslands, but enjoys a walk in the mountains as well. Not an animal to challenge for this little pony takes on lions. Makes a pretty picture with its light and dark lines. Ben Nel from South Africa sent me the stunning Zebra also.
Secratary Bird Secratary Bird
Ben Nel from South Africa sent me the picture of the secratary bird. It eats insects and snakes is 1m high and very strong. It always acts as if it is a king.
Impala - African Antelope Impala - African Antelope
Ben Nel from South Africa sent me this photo of the Impala. It is widely hunted over Africa. Makes great biltong, that is basically meat marinated in vinegar and salt and spices, then left to dry out  for a while. The meat goes hard and every person in Africa knows the boertjies make the best biltong.
