Our Penang scenes and people is slightly different to yours. My forefathers the Babas and Nyonyas, the dying breed and people of grace. Written records from the 19th and early 20th centuries show that Peranakan men usually took brides from within the local Peranakan community. Peranakan families also commonly imported brides from China and sent their daughters to China to find husbands.

Penang Island - Penang Lion Dance

Penang Lion Dance scenes is a kind of companion to trinity and beyond, scenes is a suite of three pieces with the general theme of nature. Lion Dance is the hallmark of what some writers call "scene and sequel as needed in the Chinese new year celebrations in Penang Malaysia. Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture, in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume.

The lion costume may be operated by a single dancer, or more frequently by a pair of dancers. The single dancer springs about while energetically moving and shaking the head and operating the jaws and eyes. The pair of dancers, forming the back and fore legs of the beast, mimic the motions of a single animal as they move between platforms of varying elevations. The dance is traditionally accompanied by gongs, drum and cymbals.
