Namibia Pictures
These photographs were taken during a 4 week trip to the Namib desert in August 2006. Namibia is a very dry country with a population of only 1.8 million people. The Namib desert is one of the oldest deserts in the world, and the orange colour of the sand allows for good photography. We also visited the Fish River Canyon, saw the wild horses of the Namib near Aus, Kolmanskuppe and Luderitz, Duwisib castle, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and Spitzkoppe.

Canyon Roadhouse Carwreck
During a recent trip to Namibia we camped near the Fish River Canyon at a place called Canyon Roadhouse. This old car was part of the decor. Well worth the visit.

Kolmanskuppe
Old deserted mining town near Luderitz. Very spooky and and awesome for photography.

Quivertrees
Another picture from our trip to Namibia. Quivertrees at sunset. These trees
are very hardy and are found in the Northern Cape and Namibia.
