What inspires you in the blacklight photography?
Combining art and design is my inspiration along with creating costumes and shows.
Merging photography with painting. My artistic vision is all about light.
I primarily use fluorescent materials that glow under blacklight. I also experiment with electroluminescent elements, fiber optics, and LED systems. Most of these materials are provided by my associates.
You really seem to be playing with light and colors and
combining art and design. How do you touch your audiences feelings?
In this saturated world it is necessary to offer something
distinctive and multi-dimensional. With my unique vision and
creativity I try to boost the visual impact to wake up stronger

My work is not limited to art exhibitions. I offers new,
unconventional ideas and images for marketing and advertising.
Illuminated designs are an excellent tool for drawing the attention
of consumers. My costumes have been used as eye-catchers for events and product presentations.
Your blacklight photos are very unusual and artzee! Can you
tell me about challenges with this type of photography.
Working with blacklight and fluorescent materials is a little bit
tricky because there is very little light to work with. Less light
than a candle I guess. It’s getting difficult if you work with
models and low light / long exposure. don’t forget your tripod…
What are some photographic projects you really enjoy
I started to experiment with LEDs and light painting photography and I enjoy it a lot. You never know how the photo will look like.
What kind of a camera and lenses do you primarily use and
how do you select your equipment?
I don’t have the latest equipment. Just an old Canon 5D and I use
the 50mm F 1,4 and the 35mm F2. A good tripod and a remote control for the camera, that’s it. My lighting equipment is custom made and that makes the difference. No flash at all.
